Toys N’ Tots Lead Detection and Home Safety was founded in the fall of 2007 in response to the recent increase in toy recalls due to lead.  Upon conducting its own market research, TNT found that it is a logistical impossibility for any government agency, be it local, or federal, to inspect all of the potentially dangerous toys coming into the USA from countries like China.

China alone, accounted for over 86% of the 3,000,000,000 toys purchased in the USA in 2007.  With over 70,000 factories looking to provide the cheapest cost to huge manufacturers like Mattel, Fisher-Price, and many more, there will always be short cuts taken, bribes paid, and toxic lead sneaking into the hands of our children.

The best defense for concerned parents is to make sure that all the toys their children play with daily are free of toxic lead. 

Our service was born out of this need for protection in the home. 

Our founder and CEO, Mr. Jeff Hagopian, started Toys n' Tots with one goal in mind..."Keep Our Children Safe!!"  Mr. Hagopian has a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity College in Public Policy, and has recently become a concerned parent himself:

There are many home inspectors in New England, but none specialize in toy safety like Toys N' Tots.  Checking the exterior and interior paint in your home is still an important part of home safety, but Toys N' Tots leave that to the more traditional "home inspectors".   Our mission is checking the toys and objects your children come in contact with everyday. 

As our database of inspection results grows, we are compiling the toy industry's broadest safety research program.  Our data will ultimately prove valuable to the manufacturers so they may see factual proof that unsafe toys still find their way into your little one's hands.
